Dr. Marija Mitic, DDS, D.ASBA, comes from a proud family tradition of dentistry. Raised in a
family dental practice led by her grandfather and mother, she developed a passion for dentistry
early in life. After earning her dental degree in Serbia, she practiced alongside her mother for
three years before relocating to the United States.
She completed her U.S. dental education through the International Dentist Program at Loma
Linda University in California, where she was recognized for her exceptional clinical skills.
Even as a student, she served as a clinical instructor and graduated with honors for her teaching
contributions.
Dr. Mitic has built a career in biological dentistry, with a focus on safe amalgam removal,
placement of ceramic implants, and advanced laser treatments using the Fotona LightWalker
system. Her commitment to whole-body wellness through dentistry led her to become a
Diplomate in Sleep Medicine.
She is the founder and clinical director of Healing Dentistry in Phoenix, Arizona—a practice
that also houses a Sleep Apnea and Snoring Clinic, as well as a Dental Assistant Training
School. An active member of several professional organizations, including ASBA, AACA,
KOIS, gIDE, and AAFE, Dr. Mitic specializes in biomimetic dentistry and occlusal therapy,
striving to deliver long-lasting, minimally invasive, and patient-centered care.
Our Dedication to Dental Care
Dr. Mitic has dedicated years to studying sleep apnea and sleep-related breathing disorders, earning her Diplomate status in Sleep Medicine in 2025. In addition to her dental practice, she manages a specialized Sleep Apnea and Snoring clinic where patients of all age groups are treated.
Dr. Mitic offers a range of services, including myofunctional therapy, laser treatments for snoring, sleep apnea treatments, and more.
